Jarell Quansah racing to be fit for Borussia Dortmund trip

Jarell Quansah is pushing hard to be ready in time for Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga showdown away to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old defender is still giving the club reasons to be hopeful, even if his comeback is not yet certain.

According to reports, Quansah completed an individual training programme on Tuesday and has not rejoined full team sessions. However, Leverkusen remain optimistic that he could still make the squad for the Signal Iduna Park clash.

Head coach Kasper Hjulmand had already flagged a possible return for the Dortmund game last week, and that timeline is still considered realistic. Quansah has been sidelined since suffering a thigh muscle injury against Heidenheim and has been working steadily on his rehabilitation.
